Q 12-1、How should I apply for the "Certificate of imprisonment"?

A:

  • Requirements:Inmates have to handle military service, property inheritance, student loans, tuition and miscellaneous fees, agricultural insurance, labor protection, health insurance, low income, disability subsidies, old age pension, aged farmers' subsidy, national pensions, house and vehicle transfers, divorce agreements, children's education, etc.
  • Application should be made by the inmate. If the application is made by a family member, the identity card and documents that can prove the relationship must be brought, and the inmate must write a consent letter in advance.
  • Procedure:The inmate shall fill in the application form and attach the relevant certification documents, and the agency will issue a certificate after approval. Finally, it will be retrieved by designated family members or mailed to family members by the inmate.

Q 12-2、How should I apply for the "Certificate of release "?

A:

  • Non-Internet application:
    • The former inmate must bring the ID card and seal to the agency. If entrusting relatives to do it, they must bring the power of attorney, the former inmate’s ID card, and the person’s ID card and documents sufficient to prove the relationship.
    • The relevant application forms can be downloaded from the online application system of the Convenience Service of the Ministry of Justice( website: http://www.moj.gov.tw/login/login.htm).
  • Internet application:
    • Please link to the " online application system of the Convenience Service of the Ministry of Justice (website: http://www.moj.gov.tw/login/login.htm)". After downloading the application form, fill in the application form, and mail it with the photocopy of the front and back of the applicant's ID card to the agency.
    • After the agency receives the application for review and approval, it will issue a certificate and send it to the applicant by post.

Q 12-3、How to apply for a power of attorney ,seal certification and attorney certification?

A:

  • The application for an attorney certification of an inmate can be divided into two types: general and seal.
  • If you are applying for a general (fingerprint) power of attorney, relatives of the inmate can get the power of attorney from the agency, and mail or send it to the inmate. In addition, the inmate can write a report and attach a power of attorney to submit an application. After approval by the agency, the General Affairs Section will stamp the fingerprint verification stamp and issue it. Families can come to the agency to take it back or be mailed to the family by the inmate.
  • If you are applying for a seal power of attorney, relatives of the inmate can get the power of attorney from the agency, and mail or send it to the inmate. In addition, the inmate can write a report and attach a power of attorney to submit an application. After approval, the General Affairs Division will send a letter to the household registration agency and notify the entrusted person. After receiving the official document, the household registration agency will contact the entrusted person to handle it. Relatives of inmates must bring their identity cards, documents, and seals when they come to the agency to take back the relevant power of attorney. After verification, you can sign and take it back.
